Another set from Toy Story Birthday Party series

I wanted to try my luck to get another Toy Story birthday cake but I ended up with this set. It's actually not bad at all because the 2 snack wraps and the balloons are nicely detailed.

Re-ment x Disney Halloween Cookie Keychains

I'm not a Disney fan so I wasn't planning to buy this set. But since they're a Halloween theme, I thought it might be cute to give these to my neighbors' kids on Halloween. So before giving these to them, of course I want to snap some pics to share. The material this time is different from previous Re-ment cookie series. The older sets were rigid but these are flexible. They're also much smaller than previous sets. I think Marie is the cutest among the group. Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse don't look like themselves and I was wondering what Disney characters they were until I read the paper insert that was included.

Oct Re-ment releases

This Hello Kitty set, along with the Hello Kitty Bakery & Showcase set (See post) will be released in Oct!! My wallet won't be happy but it's been quite a while since I bought multiple series within the same month. There is usually 1 set from the series that I don't like but I like every design here. These are suppose to be the squeezable just like the Re-ment Disney character bun key chains.

Glad that that Re-ment teamed up with San-x. I wonder if the Disney License is over. I hope Re-ment will do a Afro Ken & Nyanko food or furniture series. No phone straps or key chains please because there are already tons of those from San-x. If you look closely at the pieces, they're really just repeats of other series but with the Rilakkuma images. My least favorite from this collection would be #3, the rice omelet set because there are only a few pieces in there. In addition, I'm not a rice omelet fan and I already have tons of Re-ment rice omelets already. One from the Hello Kitty food series, Mickey's 50's Cafe, Mom's Happy Kitchen and I'm sure from many other series! 

 I just discovered this on Re-ment's website. It's scheduled to be released on 10/4 and it's just a Halloween version of the Big Sweets sets. The original Big Sweets were way better. My friend bought the full set of the original Big Sweets and they pretty very realistic and well made. Judging by the color of the Halloween Big Sweets, I think they will be very cheap looking. In the Minnie Mouse macaron, I think it would have been better if the macaron was orange w/ white butter cream.

Re-ment also changed their main page. The bad thing is I cannot use my iPad to get into the site because it requires Flash! 

Trying to turn Re-ment pictures into Yes! cards

Back in the 90's I was super crazy about collecting Yes! cards from Hong Kong. They were almost the size of baseball cards w/ rounded corners. Each card would feature mostly Hong Kong celebrities on it. The cost was $0.25 per random card if purchased from the Yes! Card dispensers. Otherwise, the price can range anywhere from $0.50 to several dollars if you would like to select a specific card from the shops. I've sold most of my Yes! cards several years ago but I still kept the ones w/ Vivian Chow. There stored somewhere.....

I usually use Picnik to edit my pictures, usually just cropping and adjusting the brightness. Then I discovered that you can round the edges of each image so I though it might be really cool to turn my toy pics into Yes! cards. Played around with 2 pics but both pics are sized differently. The Mickey Mouse steamed pork bun and the ramen bowl are actually key chain charms. I purposely cropped out the key chain tabs so they blend in better with the miniatures.

Oct Re-ment Releases

Here are the October re-ment releases: Sushi, Hotel Buffet, Pooh Bear Cafe. I think I will buy the sushi and hotel buffet sets. This sushi set will be Re-ment's 3rd all-sushi series so it would have been better if they were keychains or pendants. Too bad there's no Hello Kitty items in Oct because I'm not really a Disney fan.

Re-ment August releases

Hello Kitty series will be released in Japan on August 10th.

European Grandma series will be released in Japan on August 3rd.

The Disney character keychains will also be released on August 3rd.

I definitely want the Hello Kitty series but still deciding on the European Grandma and Disney ones. I already have similiar items shown in the Grandma series so the items aren't that exciting to me. Also, Re-ment items have been getting more and more expensive but the quality + concepts are becoming less and less appealing.
