Free Tote from The Body shop and my skincare haul

HauteLook offered a $50 The Body shop certificate for $29 few days ago. At the same time, The Body Shop's skincare items are buy 3 get 2 free or buy 2 get 1 free so I immediately jumped on that deal. I'm in this stage of life where I'm always looking for new skincare/supplement products to keep my skin looking young. I learned that your skin will get used to a product after a year so just like exercise, it's important to add variations to your skincare routine to keep your skin challenged. As a result, I'm always trying out new products.

If it wasn't for the Hautelook deal, I probably wouldn't have checked out The Body Shop because the store's concept seemed more like a bath and aromatherapy type of shop, which I'm not really into. I can't stand soaps and lotions that are heavily scented. After browsing through their online store, I was really interested in their Nutriganics and Vitamin E skincare line. When I was paying for my items, the cashier asked if I wanted to sign a petition to stop sex trafficking of children. After signing, she showed me a tote bag and said I was getting that free for signing the petition. I also bought the membership card for $10 a year because the cashier said the discount I'm getting for my purchase will already cover the membership cost. In addition, to the free bag, she also gave me a sticker that is also a coupon on the back.

I also stopped by Target to get the Loreal cleansers with the scrublets. I love these because they're easy on the skin, flexible so I can get into hard-to-reach areas and it makes cleaning my face fun!  If you already have a favorite cleanser, you can purchase a single scrublet at Daiso for $1.50 or Sephora for $5. I'm going to stick with these scrublets until Sephora's friends and family discount that's coming up so that I can purchase the Clarisonic brush. I tried the Body Shop facial brush I just bought and it's too rough on the skin. There was a tester at the store and it felt really soft and gentle against the skin but once you add water or cleanser, the brush feels like a cheap travel toothbrush that's rough and difficult to sweep across the skin.
