Kingdom Cake Cupcakes + Miniature Toy Story Birthday cake
Yeah!! I finally received my birthday cake set from the Re-ment Toy Story Happy Birthday Party series. The birthday cake was the only set that I wanted. The other sets had more non-food miniatures and I'm not really in to that. I think Re-ment did a wonderful job with the cake. Look at the textures of the icing and cake! It's o realistic. All the cake decorations are movable so you can take decorations from other sets to mix and match.
I also went to Kingdom Cake today to get some cupcakes. Kingdom Cake is just a take-out window so all the cupcakes are pre-packed in fours, eights or twelves and flavors of the day are limited unless you pre-order in advance. These are miniature cupcakes but slightly larger than Mission Minis. They're $2 per cupcake so it's a little pricey but all the cupcakes are really moist. The blueberry lemon and lemon cupcakes are really good. They're sweet and extremely tart at the same time! I somehow didn't like the red velvet as much because the flavor was somewhat subtle and just tasted more like a sweet cupcake with no specific flavor. I was told that their Thai Iced Tea cupcakes were really good but I have to arrange a day to go there because their hours conflict with my schedule.

Mission Mini Cupcakes + Mimo Miniature Desserts
![]() |
| From left to right: Peanut Butter, Aztec Chocolate, Red Velvet, Horchata. These are my favorite flavors from Mission Minis. The ones w/ a chocolate cake base are moist but the Horchata and Red Velvet are always kind of dry. But I still get them whenever I have a craving because this shop is the closest to work. Also, I prefer mini cupcakes over regular sized ones because the icing to cake ratio is perfect and I can just pop the whole thing into my mouth. |

Cupcakes from Cups and Cakes
![]() |
| Went to Cups and Cakes this morning to get some cupcakes for a friend's birthday. Of course I have to get a few for myself too! So I got the Red Velvet (back right), Mudslide (back left) and the banana split. They're $2.75 each so they seem like a bargain compared to other cupcake shops where they're at least $3 a piece. I thought it would be difficult to eat since they're baked in paper portion cups but they cut a slit on each rim. Just pull on the corner and the paper tears away easily. I tried the red velvet and it's yummy! It's moist, not too sweet and perfect icing to cake ratio!! Can't wait to eat the other 2 later! |

Cupcake Ribbons
I don't know what I can do with these but I really wanted them. I saw them a week ago but didn't buy them because I was sure I have no use for them. During the week, I just kept thinking how adorable those cupcakes were and for just $1.99 each, it will be an inexpensive collectible!Tuesday, July 28, 2009
My Decotti Set is here!
My cupcake Decotti set is here!! Saw these months and months ago and finally gave in.

I like the one w/ the brown base and purple rhinestones.

2 star tips. The one in the middle is just a cap for the fake whip cream.

Here's the expensive "whip cream." From the ingredient list, this cream is silicon. I'm going to stop by Lowe's or Home Depot to get a tube of 100% silicon caulking to do a comparison.

What's in this set. While reading the package, I found out that the rhinstones are not crystal but acrylic. I might head down to my local bead store to get the Swarovski ones to get that extra bling on my cupcake!
