UML Mimo Bakery + Doll (regular + special edition)

This is a Hong Kong style bakery set from Mimo. The bakery showcase was from Rement so the showcase was actually too high for the Mimo doll. I had to discreetly place the doll on top of a miniature chair so that her upper half was visible
I accidentally pulled out both of her arms and I could not put them back together because her clothes were impossible to remove. So in these pictures, the arms were loosely held up by the sleeves. Unlike other doll clothes where there are Velcros to easily attach/detach the two fabrics, Mimo dolls do not have that. For example, in order to remove the red apron, I would need to use scissors to cut the thread that secures the bow on the back. Even if I was able to remove the apron, I still had to remove the white blouse with scissors in order to remove the thread in the front button area. The sleeves were slightly tapered midway so it was impossible to see where I should stick the arms into. I kept blindly attaching the arms by feeling where shoulder blades should align. But no luck, the arms would not stick into the grooves. I'm going to let my boyfriend try to fix it. If it still doesn't work, I will need to send an email to the company for their suggestions.

In general, I'm satisfied with this series because this is a theme you won't find from Re-ment or Megahouse. The coconut cream buns were my favorite pieces. They looked exactly like the real thing. A few things I don't like:
  • The trays were made of cheap flimsy plastic. The material was similar to the plastic dividers or molds inside electronic product packages.
  • The buns w/ a glazed look had a tackiness to them. I will need to store them carefully or else the pieces will stick together and the paint will come off if I pull them apart.
  • The colors were not consistent. I bought a total of 3 full sets (2 special edition colored sets and 1 regular color edition set). For example, one batch of the sausage buns were too dark and another batch was too orangey.
  • Each type of buns/cakes were molded together and you only get 1 loose piece of each style. I don't really like the pieces molded together because they are just limited to being displayed as a group all next to each other.
There were a few items that were left out from these pictures but I will try to snap some pictures tomorrow!
